These are the types that break down faster and do not accumulate in the bloodstream as much as the long-chain fatty acids found in meat. The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) found in coconut and coconut oils are believed to increase the rate of metabolism by as much as 5 percent over a 24-hour period, and can give you numerous health benefits such as the promotion of weight management by increasing fullness, reducing fat storage, increasing fat and energy burning.
Not only is it a perfect source of dietary fibre, coconut is packed full of essential and health supporting minerals, healthy fats and vitamins explaining its growing popularity in recent times.
